JOB DESCRIPTION

Oversee and coordinate engineering projects; participate in weekly strategy planning meetings, monitor and manage projects to achieve goals. Oversee the production of belts to meet company’s requirements and make necessary mark-ups or pattern adjustments. Work closely with designers suggesting solutions and alternatives to technical challenges. Set and monitor product standards, examine raw products, prepare technical drawings, confirm measurements and necessary paperwork for new development to pass the quality testing. Resolve technical issues in production. Support the team in production development to achieve their goals. Maintain effective relationships and alliances within the team members, engineers and across other departments such as Design, Product Development and Sourcing to resolve any issues and ensure the quality of the finished goods.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration (or U.S. equivalent) plus three years of managerial experience in a role with a leather production or leather manufacturing company doing product costing, customer coordination, raw material sourcing, system designing and implementation and quality control. Employer is willing to accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Applicant must have 40 hours per week, M-F, 8:30 am-5:30 pm.
